(sung to the tune of ‘Ye’s “All of the Lights”)
All of the Meats
Turn up the grill in here, baby.
Extra crisp, I want yall to eat this.
Turn up the grill in here, baby.
You know what I need, want some chicken wings.
Want you to see all of the meats…
Yeah. I went there.
Jokes aside, I have a growing list of meaty items I’ll be indulging in once Lent is over. Here it is.
- The Zinc Burger (AKA The Crack Burger): Juicy patty, crispy cheese, soft, pillowy bun. I’m drooling a little as I type.
- A steak. Don’t really know from where. Suggestions more than welcome.
- The Fat Boy Burger. We went to Fat Boy Burgers a few weeks ago, and I had to get the lame-o “Fat Fish” sandwich. I need to go back and try the burger the foodies are freaking out over.
- I finally get to try the Rickshaw food truck at the Boardwalk on Bulverde. It’s been open for two weeks now and from what I gather on Twitter, the kebobs are all the rage. I tried the baklava a few weeks ago. It was tasty, but it wasn’t beef on a stick.
- A beef shwarma wrap from Pasha.
- BARBACOA.
- I want to make a pizza with prosciutto on it.
- The Bodega Bay omelet from Magnolia Pancake Haus.
- A carne deshebrada taco from Chela’s.
- A croque madame from Luke.
Only two more weeks to go! Tomorrow’s post: All the foods I have to miss during Fiesta, plus all the ones I can eat.

I still need to try Pasha! Pretty sure I’m the only person in SA who hasn’t been yet..
you’re gonna have the meat sweats. but i’m into it.
Man! Now I’m craving some barbacoa!
Send me some good stuff from SA, stat!
